The Exhibit Hall has always been the main hub of activity for the convention.

Last year we experimented with the idea of including a wide variey of activities in the exhibit hall and this year we want to try expanding it further.

Last year we had the art exhibit, car display and the wrestling.

What do people want for this year? We've had requests for an educational/non-profit area, a DJ area and a food court.

One new idea we are thinking of doing this year is to give the performing bands booths so they can cell their CD's and promotional goods.

I saw this at the South by Southwest festival a few months ago and I thought it would work well at PMX. BBC Radio 1 set up a "Busking Booth" where any up and coming musicians could play thier music for the crowd and possibly get noticed by the majors. This would be great for PMX as it would help develop local talent, bring fresh new music, and possibly break some unknown artists.

Are people allowed to sell their own stuff there? Like 2nd hand stuff?

and how about Promo booths? I know a group (not actual artists) who want to promote what they're doing (related to w-inds. jpop group), those are allowed?

I don't know about have mics and amps in the exhibit hall, the feedback and noise would be too much I think.

I really wish that PMX sold J-Rock goods...that was the thing I was really looking for!

Hmm... more dealers would be nice... some who sell more doujinshi. Maybe some large companies so they can promote their stuff... like Seven Seas, Viz, TokyoPOP... The artist alley could be more like "club circles" that sell their doujin, like ComiKet... uh... maybe a cosplay photoswap area???
