"Japanfiles.com Bands"

I know that Japanfiles.com has been very active in trying to bring performers to the US. We'd like to try to partner with them, but I wanted to see if there were any bands that US fans are just dying to bring over. Their website is at:

I wouldn't mind seeing SMACK DA BOOTY. But that's only so I can brag about having seen a band named SMACK DA BOOTY, and not out of any love for the band itself.

I had such a great time at PMX this past year, it would definitely be an honor for us to participate in 2007.

We have some fantastic bands coming to the USA this year already:

mothercoat is playing SXSW in Austin, TX in March
**** ******* is playing SakuraCon in April
Swinging Popsicle is playing Anime Mid Atlantic in June

Plus we are super-close to signing another band for a convention in the summer-time - more news on that when it's official.

We have nearly 200 bands on the site right now from various indie labels in Japan, and we're going to be signing quite a few more when we make our business trip to Tokyo at the end of this month.

I hope all the PMX fans will take some time to look around and take their pick!

Arigatou!
