Title: Pacific Media Expo Thanks and more to come To: PMX music Artists, DJs, and support Almost a month has past but I cannot begin to thank you enough on your contributions to Pacific Media Expo. As many of us are still recovering from the convention and catching up on our normal work lives, memories of Labor day weekend still bring back happy memories of fun and celebration of Asian and asian american culture.
On behalf of the directors and staff of the Pacific Media Association and Pacific Media Expo (PMX), I would like to thank you for your participation in this year’s Pacific Media Expo. Your contributions were deeply appreciated by both the fans and professionals attending our convention. Pacific Media Expo was a success thanks to individuals like you. Pacific Media Expo exceeded our expectations with attendees coming from 15 of 50 States, and 5 countries across the world. As we are experimenting with the format of PMX, I hope that your experiences with the convention were equally enjoyable. Please feel free to email me back any suggestions on ways we can make PMX even better. Currently, we are starting a newsletter to highlight stories and events affecting asian and asian americans. We will also be testing a side project known as PMX nites, where we can focus on specific aspects under the PMX umbrella (music, asian cinema, anime, martial arts, cultural) in smaller venues and throughout the year. We will also be promoting and supporting various cultural festivals throughout the year. Focusing on music, I would like to continue this relationship we built this year. Samantha How <music-info (at)pacificmediaexpo.com) will be in charge of PMX nites music. She is currently researching various venues in the Southern California area as performance locations. I am hoping that you would be interested in performing with us again. I also hope that you will let us know when you have other performances scheduled so that we can continue to support your own personal efforts. We all share in this vision and goal of PMX, the crossroads of asian culture. Thanks again, Ray Warriner PMX Music Division Head 2005 Below are a couple articles i've already found online highlighting PMX and the music program.
