Thank you for your continued support of Asian and Asian American culture. Its thru this support that we are able to bring you our continued program.

Oh heck! I got only two (okay, maybe three) bands on my wish list from this listing...

Gackt
Asian Kung Fu Generation

And of course, Jin Da Emcee.

A PMX 2006 CONCERT T-SHIRT! You know you want one (or two)! http://pacificmediaexpo.info/2007/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=39&Itemid=79

My favorites from this list are:

BUCK-TICK
PIERROT

Those two are definitely my top choices; I'd be extremely enthusiastic about seeing either of them-- it's exciting just to see them on what looks to be a list of serious PMX candidates. I'd also like to see the following, roughly in order of descending preference (favorites closer to the top):

Dir en grey
GLAY
L'Arc~en~Ciel
MUCC
D
merry
Nightmare
Plastic Tree
Gazette
Kagerou
Janne Da Arc
Miyavi
Phantasmagoria
Camino
lab
deadman
Guruguru Eigakan
Inugami Circus-dan
Dual Jewel
Moi Dix Mois

I'd very happily go to see any of those, though especially the ones higher on my list. Also, is there any chance of getting B'z and/or of getting Yousei Teikoku back? Neither are on your list, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Kotoko, Mell and Shiho are all from the I've Sound label. I would love to see them XD Kotoko was at AX this year, and she was AWESOME. I've loved her music (and most I've Sound's music) for years, but she gave a totally kick ass performance.

Out of this entire list, I really like the following to come to PMX:

HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
Rie Fu
Nana Kitade
SweetS
Tommy february6
W-inds
Asian Kung-Fu Generation
Boom Boom Satallites

And for your information, Do As Infinity is disbanded and the former members of Psycho Le Cemu formed a band called Synectics.

Sex Machineguns and Imitation PoPs Uchuu Sentai NOIZ. DDD

FYI, SMG are on Toshiba-EMI(http://www.toshiba-emi.co.jp/) and NOIZ are on Allex Records(http://www.uprise-inc.com/allex/).

B'z would also be very very nice. They were touring this year in September, but maybe it'll be better next time around. I also have a burning desire to see SMAP!! but uhhh, no one else outside of Japan likes SMAP so I'll have to see them when I'm there next.

I would definately go as far as it takes to go see either Trax or D, and I know a lot of other people who would too. PLus, they're relatively new, so they wouldn't be that ahrd to get, I bet. :3

Well... hopefully by this time you've worked everything out with Porno Graffitti so they can be at PMX this year. >_________>

Or not, but I can hope. Anime fans would go see them cause of the subpar "Melissa", and I would go see them for everything else. Only two official people = less shit to take care of. It wouldn't be terribly overwhelming for the venue (wherever that is) either, cause PG doesn't have tons of crazy fans who would fly overseas like PLC did.

I hope to see some info up soon on this year's PMX. Good luck on whichever artists you're going for.

Me too. Does anyone know if any of the bands from the working list (or other, non-listed bands) are looking like potentials so far, and/or have any listed bands aside of L'Arc~en~Ciel been definitely eliminated as possibilities?

Kimeru!! Kimekimekime!!

I know he's not as huge and popular as some of the other recommended artist, but Kimeru's popularity is growing significantly! I know this might be fan babble talking, but I know he would put on a wonderful, great, and perfect show if you guys manage to get him!

Sample his songs here! Give him a try! Don't make me beg (T0T) I'll do it.

Out of that list, I'm really liking: Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Nananine and the Beat Crusaders.

Here's some bands I'd like to add to the list:

SAMBOMASTER (Sony Music)

The Band Apart (http://www.asiangothic.org/index.shtml)

Skalaxy (http://www.skalaxy.com/) (Thai Pop/Ska band)

I'm going to pick two from every genre. My first pick and second pick...

From the Rock genre:
I've already seen Dir en Grey perform, but they did so unbelieveably well that I can't resist the urge to prod at any opportunity to see them again. So Dir en Grey first and foremost.

Secondly, GLAY. Definitely Glay. They've been around for ages, and seeing them in concert would be a spectacular treat.

From the Pop genre:
If Gackt is still a possibility (my mind is telling me impossibility), it'd be him first and foremost. But otherwise, it'd be fun to see Tommy February6 perform! She's very cute and kooky and I like that.

Other:
I'm going to give a nod to Moi Dix Mois and Koda Kumi as well. Would love to see either of them in concert.

o.o I forgot about GLAY! gah they're my first J-rock luv. XD But Gackt should be your first priority... (That would be a miracle o.o) but if you do get Gackt make it somewhere HUGE! not what Hyde did *mumbles mumbles* Sorry I'm gonna stop. ^_^() am truely sorry.

We know we're not as big as Glay or DEG or anything like that, but we'd LOVE to come back and play PMX again this year.

The crowd was great, and we had an absolute blast. PMX was probably our favorite gig. Let us know if we can come back!

I have to say I agree, it would be nice if we could have Lemon Drop Kick perform again for 2006. And no I wasn't paid by LDK to say this statement, they really are good, they have a similiar style to The Pillows.

Apparently, we have a contact for Sarah Geronimo... All we gotta do is talk to her people. That'll get the Filipinos interested in us again, not that Filipinos don't support PMX already anyway.

And I still vote for Asian Kung Fu Generation.

Ally Kerr

He's acoustic, Scottish (or something), but sang the opening theme for Mushi-shi...

From his website:
17th September 2005
Exciting news time. It's been confirmed that 'The Sore Feet Song' - taken from Ally's debut album 'Calling Out To You' - will feature as the theme song to a major new Japanese animation series called MUSHI-SHI beginning on the Fuji Television Network in October. A CD single of the song will be released in Japan to coincide with launch of the series. More details will be posted soon.

Bring Move,Globe and The Brilliant Green and you're guranteed to sell out. Not to mention if you could score High and Mighty Color for PMX, we'd be willing to pay the $40 price only for 2 days. Get Utada Hikaru, Every Little Thing, Do As Infinity and we'd be willing to pay even $50.

We really are willing to pay for the big names. This is not just me talking, i've talked to several people about this and everyone is in agreement.
