looking for requests for gaming. Arcade, console and others. What sort of games and competition are you interested in?

I think it's a great idea that different aspects of asian/asian-influenced entertainment which definitely includes gaming are incorporated into one gathering. Before going to last year's convention, I read that there would be certain areas dedicated to handheld gamers that would allow participants to compete or co-op. However, when I went to these sections, there was nothing organized or happening. There wasn't even anything like a banner or sign to indicate that the area was for gaming. I checked again later on in the day to find nothing which made that part of the convention a disappointment. But don't get me wrong about how I feel about PMX overall. The rest of the convention was enjoyable, informative, insightful, and made for a fun and memorable experience. I just hope that the gaming area is actually set up this time around.

When it comes to what I would like to specifically see, I think it'd be great if you had handheld tournaments for Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection for the PSP. Sign ups could be made at a certain time and end at a certain time. Then people could be seated in pairs at assigned tables and watched over by judges as they compete in one match. The losers are eliminated while the winners move on to play each other. This goes on til the final two which can have their PSPs hooked up to monitors so that everyone can view the game. Maybe the prize could be a unique t-shirt or cap or a gift certificate.

Guilty Gear and Lumines could be other games to try for a handheld tournament.

A Monster Hunter Freedom group could be organized also to allow gamers to join others on quests.

It'd be great to also see console tournaments of Tekken 5, Street Fighter, Naruto, Guilty Gear and DOA.

Taiko Master would be awesome - not the dinky copy version, but the real one with the big-*ss taiko drums and wooden sticks...

I'd prolly pay to stay an extra day just to play...

Uh, the gaming area sucked. What the hell was that. And none of our suggestions were taken. What was the point of this thread?
