My name is Ginger, and I am editor in chief for a new cosplay magazine called: Otaku Sanctuary.

Otaku Sanctuary is a new cosplay magazine that will feature cosplayers from around the U.S. We felt that our magazine is needed since there are very few magazines that cover conventions and cosplay gatherings here in the States. We have enjoyed looking at Japanese Cosplay magazines like Layers and Cosmode, and just feel there needs to be an American counter-part.

The magazine will be debuting in September and will be a full color glossy, professionally printed, quarterly magazine. Our first magazine will measure 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" with 40+ pages. As we grow however, we will have a full sized 8 1/2" by 11" bi-monthly magazine. We want to show the many cosplayers who put so much effort into their work as well as get reviews and insights from the people who attend conventions and cosplay gatherings.

We are currently contacting the upcoming conventions to host panels about our magazine; just to show the cosplay community who we are and what we are all about. We have also spoken to some online stores who are interested in carrying our magazine in their store once it debuts. Once we do print our magazine, we will be visiting, and contacting both local, and not so local Anime Stores to sell the magazine to them as well.

We will be covering PMX this year, by attending the various events, conducting interviews, taking pictures of cosplayers, and scouting for our newest featured cosplayer! So be sure to check our website for updates! www.otakusanctuarymagazine.webs.com
